LODI – A GoFundMe page created for a Lodi Police Officer claims he lost his job recently for refusing to enforce the stay at home order.

The online fundraiser created by Jenny Miller, a close friend of Duncan’s, states he was “fired from the Lodi Police Department in California for questioning and ultimately refusing to enforce the unconstitutional COVID19 stay-at-home order.”

The page has seen tremendous support, raising over $17,000 in less than 24 hours. The fundraiser has a set goal of $25,000 to help Officer Duncan’s family and to seek legal counsel.

Officer Duncan is the son of Pastor Jon Duncan of Cross Culture Christian Center in Lodi. Pastor Duncan recently made headlines for continuing church services as well, despite the stay-at-home order.

Pastor Duncan also shared his support for his son in a post that read “This is my son. He is a good and honorable man. He took a stand for what was right, refused to close businesses, and would not rob people of their livelihoods or freedom. When no one else was brave, he was.”

At time of publication, Lodi Police Department had not issued a statement regarding the matter.
