SACRAMENTO – As the first triple digit weather temperatures are amongst us, the US National Weather Service is issuing a heat watch for upcoming days.
The NWS says the first significant heat wave of the season is expected next week.
The heat watch is expected to begin at 11 in the morning Monday May 25th, and is expected to end at 7 in the evening Thursday May 28th.
Officials recommend drinking extra water, avoid outdoor activities from 10am to 6pm, plan to be in air condition buildings and help the elderly, kids and pets stay cool.
The valley region is expected to reach about 103 degrees Tuesday through Thursday.
