MERCED – Police are searching for 39 year old Jeremy Montemorano who officials say led them in a pursuit.
Police say Montemorano was stopped in the 1100 block of West 16th Street Saturday May 16th at around 9:30 am and verbally identified himself to and officer.
When officers asked Montemorano to step out of the vehicle, he took off. A pursuit began but was later terminated for public safety concerns.
Moments after terminating the pursuit, Montemorano hit a car in the 1100 block of West 15th Street. No injures were reported.
He is currently on probation from Stanislaus County and was not captured. Authorities say he is now wanted for felony evading, probation violation, driving with expired registration, and hit and run.
