TURLOCK – A Stanislaus County Sheriff Deputy was involved in a motorcycle collision Thursday morning.
The crash was reported at about 6:49am near the intersection of Tully Road and West Main. The deputy was transported to a hospital for care to his injuries, according to the department.
The collision involved a blue Ford Ranger pickup. That vehicle had damage to the front passenger fender area.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to investigate the crash. The agency canceled a Thursday press conference scheduled to recognize a Good Samaritan and deputy who rescued a motorist from a burning truck in Oakdale in order to respond to Turlock.
