STOCKTON – Several residents were evacuated in the area Harding Way and Stanford Avenue as a fire caused major damage to several homes Sunday afternoon.
The fire was dispatched to four alarms bringing several firefighters to the scene. Police officers and Sheriff Deputies responded to assist in evacuating residents.
Evacuees were directed to West Lane Bowl.
A cause of the fire was not reported early Sunday afternoon, but dry conditions and windy weather were cited as factors.
